I found this text from the Daily Reporter dated December 24, 1991. It mentions my participation in the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation my sophomore year. I later attended Hoosier Boy’s State in Terre Haute as part of this program.

Ivy Tech of central Indiana will conduct open registration Jan. 6-8 at Greenfield-Central High School. Spring classes begin Jan. 13. Potential students will register from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
HOBY representative Jill Baniewicz, daughter of Francis Bennet of New Palestine, has been selected as the sophomore representative from NPHS to the annual Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership conference in Indianapolis next spring. HOBY’s purpose is to bring together a select group of high school sophomores with groups of distingushed leaders in business, government, education and other professions to discuss present and future issues. HOBY will also sponsor a district seminar meeting in Richmond Jan. 18. New Pal sophomores slated to attend that meeting include: Richard Goins, Tess Denning, Jill Baniewicz, Scott Haines, Laurie Sapp, Elizabeth Husted, Amy Inman, Bryon Lindley, Holly Salyers, Jay Ehle, Ryan Kamp, Sarah Greene, Christopher Bloomer, Dan Spiceland, Robyn Anderson, Scott Sullivan, Wendy Power, Mandi Larrabee and Brian Harter. All local HOBY activities are sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Greenfield.
